Love & Loss - Hand to Hold's support group for bereaved parents

Facilitators for upcoming meetings:

Thank you for your interest in our Love and Loss group, which is for those of us who have experienced a bereavement in the NICU or after a NICU stay. We also welcome parents whose baby has been referred to palliative and / or hospice care.

Our group is a safe space for you to share, or just listen. We encourage you to share your story and your baby with us, but you don't have to until you are ready. Topics we cover include:

-processing our losses
-how loss affects us physically, emotionally and mentally
-remembering our baby
-challenges around milestones and holidays
-communication with partners and family
-return to work
-pregnancy after loss
-a new normal...

You can use Zoom with or without your camera on. Instructions on how to join the group will be in your confirmation e-mail.

Your hosts:
Christine and David are certified Mental Health Peer Specialists with Hand to Hold. Christine is a two time NICU parent. She lost her first baby, born at 28 weeks, to IUGR and NEC. Her third child was born with a congenital heart defect. David also experienced a NICU stay, palliative care support and post NICU loss.
